That's all very good thinking, Kevin. Let me digest it and get back to your specific points.

Very well. I just thought I'd compile many of the opinions into a structure.

"The member does not own or operate a business dedicated to building/creating props/costumes. This condition may be excused if any services to other members are provided without charge or at a nominal rate."
I don't think it's fair to require a discount just for order members. Just because someone has a business does't mean they necessarily have huge profit margins or extra time to do things at cost. I think people already are willing to help out order members as best that they can. There are several of us with etsy shops as well. I currently have Artizan status from back when it was first introduced and while I have no problems discounting when I can and helping when I can I don't think it's fair to say if you don't do this you can't be an Artizan. Most are willing to help and work with you anyway but putting it in the rules rubs me the wrong way and I feel like it could send a negative message to those who are either doing it as a side business or even their main business. Also it's almost like saying vendors have automatic voting rights if they make quality items. It's 1:30am so I may not be expressing this well. Will return when I have had sleep.

Fair enough. That point only addressed a concern about members who operated a business and (albeit poorly) reiterating the line between Artisan and Vendor. The voting rights of Vendor would be addressed elsewhere. This was probably the area I had the most difficulty addressing and wanted challenged.
